NO BAKE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PROTEIN BARS
Macros (per bar for 14 bars): 150 calories, 6g fat, 9g protein, 15g carbs, 1g fiber
Recipe:
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (You can use crunchy for added texture)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2/3 cup oats
- 5 scoops Protolyte (Chocolate or Vanilla PB work best!)
- 2 tbsp water (if needed)
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
First, add the peanut butter and honey in a pot that is NOT on the burner. Once you have these two ingredients in the pot you can put it over a stove on low heat and stir constantly until it’s thinned out. This should only take about 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, add your protein powder and oats, and mix it up.
You may need to add a little water as the mixture will get super thick. Only add a tsp at a time until it reaches a consistency that is easy to mold but not too hard. You will probably end up adding about 3 tsp.
Next, put the mixture into a 9Ă—9 glass dish and press it out into a square. Heat up your chocolate chips (30 sec intervals in the microwave mixing in between- usually takes 90 secs total) and cover the top of your protein bars with chocolate.
Throw them in the freezer for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to harden then cut 7 lines down and one across for a total of 14 bars.
After enjoying 1 (or 2 or 3) keep in the fridge. I take them out about 15 minutes before eating them so they can soften a bit.
Enjoy!Â
